Chapter 1:
Axel's uncle is teaching at the university. The Professor drops a sheet of the book and translates it. It's about the history of Iceland. Axel meets Gräuben and tells him everything.
Chapter 2:
Three weeks later Axel and Professor go to Reyk javik in Iceland. There they meet a man who introduces them to his guide Hans, Hans takes them to the volcano on horseback.
Chapter 3:
The three go down the entrance of the volcano, and there are some holes.
Chapter 4:
The three go down the mini holes, then sit down to rest and Axel says there is no water, and Hans breaks the wall to get water. After a while Axel gets lost and falls into a hole.
Chapter 5:
The Professor and Hans help Axel out of the cave and out into a strange world. They find a cranio and Hans builds a raft that when they go out to sail a dinosaur attacks them.
Chapter 6:
After the attack of the dinosaurs the raft almost overturns, and they find a geyser. A storm appears that makes the raft overturn.
Chapter 7:
Hans rescues Axel and the Professor, and returns to collect his things from the raft. But the Professor wants to go to the center of the land.
Chapter 8:
Axel and the Professor go to explore and meet elephants and primitive men. They go and Axel finds a knife and the Professor sees some drawings on the walls of a cave.
Chapter 9:
Hans puts a trail of dust out of the cave and makes the cave explode. Take the raft and fall down a waterfall.
Chapter 10:
They all shoot out of the volcano and run to a field. He asks a citizen there where they are. And they return home, and congratulate them for their adventure.
